UNDERSTANDING THE WORKINGS OF THE WORD OF GOD

Text: Gen.13:13-14

The word of God is like mathematics that you must work to get the answer.
Working the word of God begins with seeing it and knowing it (understanding it)
Hosea 4:6

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

After seeing and understanding it, you must hold fast to your confession until it becomes a reality.
Heb.4:14

"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession."

UNDERSTANDING HOW THE WORK OF GOD WORKS

The word of God is failure-proof.
 Mark 13:31,

"Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away."

Isaiah 55:10-11

"55:10

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

55:11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

The word of God is a SEED. Luke 8:11

"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."

WHAT IS A SEED

A small hard object produced by plants from which a new plant of the same kind can grow.
A seed is also a fertilized grain initially encased in a fruit, which may grow into a mature plant
And every seed had a mandate from God in Gen.1:11 to produce after it's kind i.e. to produce a new same fruit

The No.1 blessing of God on mankind is to be fruitful. This means to be full of fruits. Gen.1:28

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

So when Jesus said the word of God is a seed in Luke 8:11, what he meant was like, Deut.7:14 says none shall be barren, it means babies are in that seed.
Deut.7:15 says he will take sickness away, there is the fruit of Sound health in that seed.
Psalm 107:20

"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Psalm 119:89

"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."

However, seed (word of God) is useless until you plant them. And your mouth is what you will use to plant the seed of the fruit you desire.
That is why Heb.4:14 encourage us to hold fast i.e keep confessing, refuse to give up.
Because the word of God will prosper, germinate and produce when you send it (plant it, Confess it) Isaiah 55:11
The word of God has the power to repair and restore all those things He created that has fault in our lives.

ITS TIME TO SAY YES TO JESUS

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your life? That is; are you BORN AGAIN? If not please pray this prayer.

"Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins; cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from Satan to serve the living God today. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Now I am Born Again".
