CONTENDING FOR YOUR BLESSING 2

Text: Hebrews 4:12-14

"4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

4:13

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  

4:14

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession."

  The word of God is very simple,
2 Corinthians 11:3

11:3

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

 but as simple as it is, it is the Power of God Romans 1: 16.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

   It is important that we re-focus our attention back to the word of God. As simple as the word of God, people now make it difficult. It's absurd that this day's Pastors now attempt to feed on what you are going through. Jesus never terrified anyone whenever any case(s) is brought to Him. No matter how hasty a mother is, she must wait for nine months to carry the pregnancy except if she intends to carry a premature baby. Don't feel terrified about that challenge, you are not the only one going through it.
God spoke to Jeremiah in the book of
Jeremiah 1:11

"Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree."

You have to be able to see it that it's not about what the doctor said but about the performance of His word.
Genesis 13: 14 - 15

"13:14.

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

13:15.

For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever."

   God gave Abraham an instruction to look into the four corners of the world. We should also be looking into the four corners of the Bible, that is where all Solutions are.    Until you see your healing, you can't be healed. You have to see your Breakthrough before you can break through.

2. Power of Confession:
Hebrew 10: 23

"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)"

Hebrew 4: 14

"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession."

   Christianity is a great confession. What Confession means is to Admit. The manifestation of God's promises in our life has a lot to do with what we are saying. What we say is very Powerful.

WHAT ARE WE TO CONFESS? 

1. You are to confess the Lordship of Jesus on your life and in every situation.
Philippians 2:10- 11

"2:10.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

2:11.

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

2. You are to confess the word of God. Confess your healing, Salvation, Breakthrough, Victory, etc
Romans 10: 10

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

   Confess positive things like Paul did in
Phil 4: 13

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

   Whatever Satan says you can't do, confess against it that you can do it.
   A boxer will be on the ground but he is not yet out even when spectators are thinking he is gone. He will surmount courage and gather strength that later earns him Victory.
   Satan has demoralized many and the moment he is successful in doing that, that is the end.
   Your mouth is given to you not to eat and speak alone but to bring salvation into your life.
Luke 21:15

"For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."

3. Confess the  Shepherd-hood of God  because the Lord, because the Lord is my Shepherd, will I will not want anything goodwill
Psalm 23: 1

"A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."

   When you allow God to Shepherd and rule over you, you will not lack anything.
Be positive about yourself even about your Nation.
   Many people are dying today because of what is happening around them. What you condemn is what others admire and appreciate. Be contented with what you have and what God has given to you. The Bible says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. God has a reason for treating you that way, He has a reason for allowing that to happen. Don't complain, but Glorify God.
   One of the methods Satan is using is to bring something up from you or from what is happening to you to limit you but Hebrew said in Hebrew 10:23 that

"Let us hold fast the profession (confession) of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"

 What holding fast means is that to continue holding on and confessing what you believe.
  Also, in the book of Isaiah, it is said "who has believed our report, it is to that person that the hand will be revealed.

WHY IS YOUR WORD VERY IMPORTANT? 

1. Your word will either imprison you or make you free
Proverbs 6:2,

"Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth."

Mattew 12: 37,

"For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shalt be condemned."

Proverbs 18: 21

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

2. The Sustainability of your life and destiny lies on tin word of your mouth.
 Hebrew 1: 3

"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"

3. What you say is what God approves, Numbers 14: 28

"Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:"

The words of your mouth can destroy the works of your hand. Don't speak what you don't want.
Do not say you are Joking,
Eccl 5: 6

"Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?"

   Look at your life through the Bible and not through the situation that is happening around you. There is Solution in the word of God. Some of the things that you see as obstacles are for your testimony. Hold fast to your positive confession.
   Don't accept negativity in you and around you, stay positive and confess positively. Do not be moved by what you see or what is happening to you. Confess positively.
   The words that are coming from your mouth has many to say about what will happen to you.

PRAYER POINT

• Confess Positive things for yourself, confess your Baby, Healing, Salvation, Breakthrough and all you desire.

ITS TIME TO SAY YES TO JESUS

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your life? That is; are you BORN AGAIN? If not please pray this prayer.

"Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins; cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from Satan to serve the living God today. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Now I am Born Again".
