CONTENDING FOR YOUR BLESSING.

Text: Jeremiah 1: 10 - 13

 INTRODUCTION:

God has blessed us with all blessings but that blessing might not get to your hand or come until you know a way out.
Ephesians 1: 3

"Blessed be_ the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:"

To enjoy God's available blessing is not free. It is free by availability but not free by possession. 
Deuteronomy 2: 24

"Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle"

To contend is to compete with something in order to gain something. In a race, some athlete started weak while some get tired towards the end. Every contender requires a weapon. In our contest, the weapon to be used is a spiritual weapon. 
2 Corinthians 10: 4.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;"

Stronghold talks of everything that is standing as opposed to us.

HOW DO I CONTEND?

1. WEAPON OF VISION: 

Jeremiah 1: 10 -13

"1:10 

See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.  

1:11

Moreover, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree.  

1:12 

Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.  

1:13 

And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot, and the face thereof is toward the north."

"Looking eyes are very common but the eyes that see are rare"
Until you are able to see the authority given to you, you can't get it.
Until what you see corresponds with what God is showing to you, you can't get it
"You can debate what you hear but you can't debate what you see" 
Romans 10: 9 -10

"10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Man is a Tripartite being.
 Ephesians 1: 17-18

"1:17
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
1:18
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,"

One of the ways to see is true imagination. "Imagination is the act of image formation."
Genesis 13: 14-15,

"13:14
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
13:15
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever."

   What your heart (inner spiritual eye) is saying should not be different from what your mouth is saying.

   Possessing of possession begins with looking before taking. You have to transform your looking to seeing before taking. 
The best way to wash your spiritual eyes is the word of God.
"The world belongs to the thinkers"
Make use of your brain. 

While Bill Gate was young, his mother called him one day and he responded that he was busy thinking. He thought his way to Success despite been a school dropped out.

A gatekeeper at a MacLean producing company also thought his way to Success. He gave the advice to improve the sales of his company even as a gatekeeper and he became a Director in the same company.  

Make use of your brain. 
Satan is always after our heart. 
2 Corinthians 4: 3 - 4 

"4:3
But if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost:
4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

Whatever you can not see (Baby,  wife, job, breakthrough,  etc) you can't possess. Satan usually blinds the mind. When he pollutes or tamper with any heart, the heart does not see again. The heart is the processing room and the eyes of the spirit. That is why you need to guide your heart. 
Proverbs 4: 23 

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Put your thought side to side with the word of God. The best way to catch your vision is to learn the habit of being quiet before God. 

What seeth thou? 
What do you see about your future? 
Can you see what God is saying? 
Until you see it you can't possess it. 
See you at the Top!!

 PRAYER

•  Father, enlighten our heart of understanding to see what you are saying.

ITS TIME TO SAY YES TO JESUS

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your life? That is; are you BORN AGAIN? If not please pray this prayer.

"Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins; cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from Satan to serve the living God today. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Now I am Born Again".
