THE BROKEN CONVENANT

Mark 6: 21 - 28

The king made an oath, covenant or vow to a damsel that the damsel should ask him for anything. The damsel ran to her mother to ask what to and the mother took the advantage to ask for the head of her enemy. What the damsel requested for making the king bitter but because of the vow he has made with her, he carried it out.
Every problem has a cause, every challenge has its origination and the reason why it is happening.
It is your responsibility to know the problem and find a solution. Most of the problems in our life are a result of one thing or the other. Some challenges in our life do not require prayer but for us to take a step.
The children of Israel had been praying for years but when the problem persists the king decided to go to God.
2 Samuel 21: 1 - 7
Saul overzealously killed the Gideonite despite all vows they made with them (Joshua 9: 1 - 15).

 NOTE
No solution without discovering the challenges. You are suffering as a result of one thing or the other. Promise kept can open the door of Breakthrough. Even Hanah made a vow and said to God that if she is given a male she will return him back to God.
Broken Covenant has a consequence.
2 Samuel 21: 7

" But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the Lord's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul."

Note: The children are not the ones that offended or broke the vow but they are to suffer for it. While they were picking those that will suffer for what their father and four-father have done, the mercy of God spared Mephibosheth. Some of the consequences we are facing today in terms of challenges are from what we ourselves have done or what our father or four fathers have done.
There is no evil you do without negative consequences.
Genesis 20: 3 - 7, 17 - 18

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, please reveal the secret of my problems to me.
2. Father, please deliver me from the deciets.
3. Father, Please help me to make my stand for you alone.
4. Father, by your mercy, spare me from all the consequences of all the errors of the past whether by me or from my family or parent.
5. Father, Please show me and my family mercy this year 2020.
6. Father, in this year 2020 i put my trust in you alone.
