LIVING AS AN OVERCOMER

Text:  Colossians 1:9-14

It is one thing to be an overcomer and it is another thing to live as an overcomer. To Live as an overcomer is to let the devil know that you know your right in Christ. One of the undoings in the body of Christ is because many christians don't know their right that which is making satan to oppress you. Knowledge is Power.


To live as an overcomer,
1. You must let the enemies know that you know your right in Christ. Col.1:13

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"

WHAT ARE THE RIGHTS OF CHRISTIANS?

a. He has delivered (rescued) you from the power of darkness.
That's why Isa.54:17 says

"No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper"

b. He hath translated (transferred) us from the territory of satan into the kingdom of His Son.
c. Christ has purchased our freedom from the enemies
d. He forgave us our sins

2. Walk and work in the consciousness of your freedom from the powers of the enemies and live right to please God.
You are to use your mouth to condemn whatever the enemy is saying. Until you are able to walk in the consciousness of been liberated, you will remain in same situation.

3. You have been delivered from the power of darkness but you need to keep yourself
1 John 5:18

"We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."

HOW DO I KEEP MYSELF
James 1:27
Watch your relationship, Learn to care for others.
1 Peter 3:13

"And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?"

Christianity is all about relationship not religion.

4. Live a life of thanksgiving for making you an overcomer
Col.1:12

"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:"

2 Cor.2:14

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."

You must be ready to give Thanks unto God always.

ITS TIME TO SAY YES TO JESUS

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your life? That is; are you BORN AGAIN? If not please pray this prayer.

"Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins; cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from Satan to serve the living God today. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Now I am Born Again".
